INSACO is a high precision machine shop, specializing in the machining, grinding, and polishing of custom parts from post-fired ceramic materials. This includes materials such as sapphire, silicon carbide, quartz, borosilicate glass, zirconia, silicon nitride, and many other hard ceramic materials. Our facility is ~60,000 ft^2, with over 300 machines/machine tools. Through this capability we are able to machine virtually any geometry in a post-fired ceramic part (including internal threads!), all while holding tolerances down to as tight as 0.001mm (.000039”). In addition to our machining capability, we have an even more thorough inspection department which has a plethora of units to help ensure that we are meeting the tolerances being requested. All machined parts can be delivered with a documented inspection report to further help confirm that each part is machined to print.
